DHAKA, Nov 30, 2025 (BSS)—All-rounder Abu Haider Rony hammered a quick-fire 86 not out as Mymensingh put them in strong position against Barishal on Day 1 of the sixth round of National Cricket League (NCL) at Sylhet Academy today.

Haider’s 86 not out off 64, featuring seven fours and six sixes steered the side to 280-6 at stumps. Al-Amin Hossain was batting with him on 70.

The duo put on 120 for the undefeated seventh wicket, keeping the side on track of a big first innings total.

After opting to bat first, Mymensingh made a horrible start with the two openers—Mahfijul Islam and Naim Sheikh—returning to the dressing room with single digit figure.

Ariful Islam who made 48 held together the innings but Mymensingh lost wickets in clusters, which eventually left them at 160-6.

Haider and Al-Amin thereafter helped the side recover from the collapse and put them in strong position.
