DHAKA, Nov 30, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President
Aminul Islam Bulbul reiterated his plan to start the Women's Bangladesh
Premier League very soon.

He made the announcement during the BPL 12 players' auction at a local hotel
in the capital today.

"The BCB has a plan to start the Women's BPL very soon," Bulbul said during
his speech. "You guys who own the franchise of BPL will be given the
opportunity to keep the women's team alongside your men's BPL team."

He said the current franchise will get priority in taking the teams in
Women's BPL.

The BCB came up with a similar plan during the 11th edition of BPL but it
eventually didn't materialize.
