RAJSHAHI, Jan 26, 2026 (BSS) - The BPL champions Rajshahi Warriors were given a warm reception on an open-top bus in Rajshahi today.

From Monday morning until noon, Shanto, Mushfiq and their teammates toured the city riding on the open-top bus.

During this time, cricket lovers of Rajshahi welcomed them with great enthusiasm and excitement.

After becoming BPL champions, the Warriors team arrived in Rajshahi on Monday morning.

At 10:30 a.m., the players landed at Hazrat Shah Makhdum (R.) airport in Rajshahi. An open-top bus was waiting in advance. Carrying the BPL trophy, the players boarded the bus.

Police escorted the bus towards the city. At the front of the bus were the top executives of the team's owner, Nabil Group.

A large number of cricket fans surrounded the bus with motorcycles. They displayed placards reading "Pride of Victory," "City of Heroes," and "Victory Has Come, the Cup Has Been Lifted." Written on the front of the open-top bus was the slogan, "The Cup Has Come Home."

The bus travels from the airport along the Rajshahi-Naogaon highway to Amchattar, Biman Chattar, RUET Flyover, and then to Paris Road at Rajshahi University with the players.

During this time, RU students welcomed the players by showering flowers.

Many took off the shirts, T-shirts, or sweaters they were wearing and threw them festively toward the players, who signed them with autographs and returned them.
At times, captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mushfiqur Rahim held the BPL trophy high.

To the rhythm of music, cricket fans burst into cheers, while Shanto and Mushfiq danced atop the bus along with them.

After leaving the university area, the bus went via Talaimari and Saheb Bazar to the front of Rajshahi Collegiate School, where students again surrounded the bus and greeted the players.

The same scene was repeated in front of Rajshahi College. Later, the bus toured Laxmipur in the city and then traveled through Darikhardbona, Railgate, and Amchattar before reaching Nabil Industrial Park in Paba.

As the players toured the city on the open-top bus, people along the roads raised their hands to greet them. Many took selfies with the players from a distance, capturing the moment.
