DHAKA, April 11, 2026 (BSS) -In recognition of continuous work in developing 
football at the grassroots level, the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) 
has achieved silver level membership of the AFC Grassroots Charter, said a 
press release.

This membership will be re-evaluated after three years as per article 6 
(renewal) of the AFC Grassroots Charter regulation 2024.

Membership of the AFC Grassroots Charter is achieved by fulfilling a certain 
number of conditions. In view of this, BFF applied for the first time in 2021 
for bronze level membership and achieved it by fulfilling the specified 
criteria. 

BFF had to be fulfilled 31 conditions for the bronze medals. 

The AFC has confirmed the achievement of the silver level of the BFF through 
a letter dated April 9 last. 

The BFF will receive the Grassroots Level Silver Level membership certificate 
from the AFC.
 
The BFF hoped that this recognition would further strengthen the initiative 
to spread football at the grassroots level in the country, increase 
participation and create future talents.
