RAJSHAHI, April 23, 2026 (BSS) - In the Inter-Department Men's Handball Competition at Rajshahi University (RU), the Department of Management Studies 
became champion and the Department of Marketing became runner-up. 

In the Women's Handball Competition, the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science became champion and the Department of Graphic Design, Crafts 
and History of Art became runner-up.
 
In the Inter-Department Kabaddi Competition, the Department of Law and the Department of Management Studies jointly became champion.
 
This Thursday afternoon at the university stadium, chief guest Vice-Chancellor Professor Md. Faridul Islam distributed the prizes for these 
competitions. 

Special guests at the event were Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Mohammad Main Uddin, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education) Professor 
Farid Uddin Khan, and Treasurer Professor Matiar Rahman.

The event was chaired by Professor Mohammad Belal Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and President of the Interdepartmental Games Sub-Committee.

Acting Director of the Department of Physical Education, Roksana Begum, delivered the welcome speech.
 
Also present at the prize-giving ceremony were Registrar Professor Iftikharul Alam Masud, Student Advisor Professor Md. Amirul Islam, and other concerned 
officials.
