Bangladesh lose to Qatar in Asian Beach Games handball

DHAKA, Apr 23, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh suffered their third straight defeats in the 6th Asian Beach Games handball after losing to Qatar by straight 2-0 set held in Sanya city, China today (Thursday).

Qatar comfortably won the first set by 16–06 points and maintained their domination by winning the second set by 24-12 points.  

Bangladesh will face Jordan in their fourth group-stage match tomorrow (Friday).

Earlier, on Tuesday last, Bangladesh made a losing start in the Games after a 2-1 set defeat to Maldives in their opening group and suffered a straight 2-0 set defeat against Pakistan.
