DHAKA, June 05, 2026 (BSS)- Leonine Chess Club Invitational FIDE Rating Chess tournament, organised by Leonine Chess Club, has began on Friday at the club’s hall room of Rangs-Nasim Square in Dhanmondi.

Syed Sujauddin Ahmed, president of the Bangladesh Chess Federation, formally inaugurated the tournament as the chief guest. 

Monzur Hossain Zimmu, General Secretary of Leonine Chess Club, International Arbiter Md. Haroon-oR-Rashid and tournament’s Chief Organiser Tasmin Sultana were present.

A total of ten players including three International Masters, five FIDE Masters, one Candidate Master, and one rated player are participating in the round-robin event.
