DHAKA, July 16, 2026 (BSS) - FIDE Master Tahsin Tajwar Zia suffered his first defeat in the 6th International Summer Chess Festival, Serbia Open 2026 Masters Event, losing to Alisher Mazhkenov of Kazakhstan in the second-round match now being held in Belgrade, Serbia.

Tahsin has one point from two matches after beginning the tournament with an impressive victory over Itai Gal On in the opening round.
