MUNSHIGANJ, March 16, 2025 (BSS) – Shopping malls in the district town have been buzzing with rush of shoppers who are gathering at different shopping outlets from morning to mid-night to buy clothes, shoes and other items for their beloved ones to celebrate the Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest festival of the Muslim.

Visiting different markets of the district town and suburb areas, the BSS correspondent found that there is crowd of people inside and outside the markets. The salespeople are passing busy time for handling the rush of customers, specially in the stores of clothes and shoes.

All markets in the town have been decorated with colorful lights. Buildings and roads of the town's different areas are illuminated with red, blue and green lights.

Keeping the needs and passions of the customers in mind, different shopping malls are showcasing new Eid collections to attract shoppers. Customers expressed happiness after being able to buy clothes of their choice, but many have complained about overpricing.

Talking to BSS, Jamal Bepari, a resident of the district who came to Aftab Market to buy dress for his family members, said he came for Eid shopping early to avoid crowd.
In Ramadan, special security measures have been taken for traders and buyers on the occasion of the Eid shopping.

District Superintendent of Police Muhammad Samshul Alam Sarker said that security has been strengthened everywhere, including shopping malls.
Police in white dress are also working in front of markets and beside the roads, he added.
