Dollar slides on weak US jobs data amid Trump tariffs

LONDON, Aug 1, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - The dollar slid against the euro and British pound Friday after official US jobs data came in weaker than expected as companies come to terms with President Donald Trump's tariffs assault.

The dollar was down 1.13 percent versus the European single currency and 0.65-percent lower against the pound following the employment figures.
