Remittance inflow rises by 13.7pc in 16-day of August

DHAKA, Aug 17, 2025 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 13.7 percent (pc), reaching US$1,264 million in the first 16 days of August, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued here today.
 
Last year, the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $1,112 million.

During the July 2025-August 16, 2025 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $3,742 million, which was only $3,026 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
