Remittance inflow rises by 25.6pc in 17-day of August

DHAKA, Aug 18, 2025 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 25.6 percent (pc), reaching US$1,424 million in the first 17 days of August, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued here today.
 
Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $1,134 million.

During the July 2025 to August 17, 2025 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $3,902 million, which was only $3047 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
