DHAKA, Jan 26, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh has successfully reaffirmed its standing as a global leader in the textile and apparel industry during the Texworld and Apparel Sourcing New York City 2026 exhibition.
Held from January 20–22, 2026, at the Javits Convention Center, the event served as a major platform for 15 Bangladeshi companies to connect with international buyers and designers, said a press release here today.
The Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) took an active role in this year's event, supporting 13 companies to highlight the nation's growing industrial strength.
Among the key exhibitors showcasing their capabilities were Golden Tex, Blue Apparel, Hera Sweaters, PM Sourcing, Excom Fashion, AB Apparels, and Design Sourcing International Corp. Paramount Textiles participated independently, and Optimum Sourcing was also present at the fair.
The Bangladeshi delegation presented a diverse portfolio comprising fabrics, ready-made garments, and value-added textile products.
Their presentations specifically emphasized the country's capabilities in quality manufacturing, sustainable practices, and flexible production solutions.
Exhibitors expressed optimism regarding the engagement received at the fair.
Gulam Mustafa, Managing Director of Design Sourcing, highlighted the event's value for the industry:
“The Texworld Apparel Sourcing New York exhibition proved to be a valuable platform for us.
It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with industry professionals, exchange ideas, and showcase our capabilities to a global audience,” he added.
For some, the event served as a stepping stone for further international expansion. S. M. Marufur Rahman, Managing Director of Leno Tex Limited, marked his company's debut at the fair by noting the "promising and interesting" engagement from visitors.
He added that while inquiries focused on smaller order quantities, the experience has encouraged his firm to participate in Texworld Paris in February 2026.
Reinforcing Global Standing The three-day exhibition reinforced Bangladesh's position as a "reliable, competitive, and forward-looking global sourcing destination" for textiles and apparel. By bringing together global fabric buyers and sourcing professionals, the event solidified Bangladesh's presence as a key sourcing hub for the U.S. market.
