22.4pc growth of remittance inflow till March 1

DHAKA, March 2, 2026 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year 
growth of 22.4 percent reaching US$22,668 million during the July to March 
01, 2026 of the current fiscal year 2025-26 (FY26), according to the latest 
data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued here today.
 
Last fiscal year 2024-25, during the same period, the country's remittance 
inflow was $18,520 million.
 
During the first day of March 2026, expatriates sent remittances of $215 
million, which was $30 million during the same day of the previous fiscal 
year, it added.
