SHERPUR, Jan 10, 2025 (BSS) - A driver of a sand-laden truck was killed as the vehicle overturned and plunged into a roadside paddy field in the Jamtali area in early hours of today.

The deceased identified as Shanto, 15, was the son of Sheikh Kamal hailed from Purbo Dhanshail Jamtoli area in Sherpur district.

When Shanto was heading towards Jhenaigati with a sand-laden truck from Bakakura area, the vehicle overturned and eventually plunged into a paddy field in the aforesaid area, leaving him dead on the spot.

The police recovered the body, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jhenaigati Police Station M Al Amin.

An unnatural death case was filed with the police station.
