CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Jan 12, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested two persons
including the main accused of a double-murder, which took place in Nachole
upazila of the district on December 17 last, from Dhaka and Mymensingh
districts.

Police also recovered a knife used in the murder from their possession.
 
The arrested were Shahin Reza, main accused of Masud Rana and Raihan Ali's
murder and Samad Ali.

Superintendent of Police (SP) of Chapainawabganj Md. Rezaul Karim disclosed
this in a press briefing at his office this noon.
 
SP Rezaul Karim said police arrested Shahin from Savar in Dhaka and Samad
from Bhaluka in Mymensingh on Friday night.
 
The SP, referring to Shahin's admittance to the court, said that the murder
took place following personal enmity.
 
Mentionable, Masud Rana and Raihan Ali were stabbed to death at Mollikpur
under Nachole upazila of the district at night on December 17, 2024.

On December 18, 2024, Masud Rana's father filed a murder case with Nachole
Police Station accusing 10 people mentioning names and 6/7 other unnamed
people.
