CHATTOGRAM, Jan 17, 2025 (BSS) - Three people were killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in the early hours of today.

The deceased were identified as Rubel Barua, 40, Suny Barua, 40, and Nipu Barua, 38. All of them were the residents of Domdoma Barua Para area under Mayani Union in the Mirsarai upazila.

The accident took place around 3:30am at Sufia Rastar Matha under Mersarai upazila of Chattogram when an identified car knocked a motor cycle, leaving three friends, who were returning home from a marriage ceremony on a motorcycle, dead on the spot, said Biplob Barua, elder brother of Rubel Barua.

Sub-Inspector of Jobarganj Highway Thana Borhan Uddin said the bodies have already been handed over to their family members.
