Clothing warehouse gutted in Chattogram

CHATTOGRAM, Feb 8, 2025 (BSS) - A devastating fire burnt huge finished 
clothes at a clothing warehouse on the second floor of Jalsha Market in the 
city's Riazuddin Bazar area today.

According to Fire Service and Civil Defence, the fire originated from an 
electric short-circuit at the warehouse around 6 am and soon engulfed the 
entire godown. 

Firefighters from five units including Reazuddin Bazar and Chandonpura fire 
station rushed to the spot and brought the flame under control at about 8.00 
in the morning, the sources added. 
 
Reazuddin Bazar Merchants Association confirmed.

Fire service sources said they have saved a huge establishment at the 
surrounding area of the clothing warehouse as they reached in due time after 
the incident.
