PATUAKHALI, Feb 8, 2025 (BSS) - A three-day photo exhibition on the July
Uprising organized by the district administration ended this evening in the
Jhautola area of the district.

A total of 62 photos including the pictures of Abu Sayeed and Mugdha, who
embraced martyrdom in the anti-discrimination student movement, and attacks
of police and tortures of Chhatra League on the thousands of protesters were
exhibited in the event at makeshift pendal.

The exhibition also displayed the pictures of cheerful people following the
collapse of the fascist government.

Besides, different documentaries on the July Uprising were screened during
the exhibition.

Visiting the exhibition, students said upholding the spirit of the July
Uprising, all should work together to build a new Bangladesh instead of being
divided to serve anyone's interest.

The exhibition drew huge visitors from different ages on its second day on
Friday and today.

Talking to BSS, Patuakhali Deputy Commission Abu Hasnat Mohammad Arefin said
during the anti-fascist and anti-autocracy movement, mass killing was carried
out by shutting down the internet across the country.

Anti-state conspiracies are still going on, he said, adding this exhibition
has been organized to counter those conspiracies.

According to official sources, 25 people were killed and 64 were injured
during the anti-discrimination student movement in the district.
