Illegal brick kiln demolished in Lakshmipur

LAKSHMIPUR, Feb 09, 2025 (BSS) - A mobile court today demolished an illegal brick kiln at Digholi area in Sadar upazila of the district.

The upazila administration and Department of Environment (DoE) raided the area and demolished the brick kiln named 'Bhai Bhai Brick Kiln'. 

Mobile Court Executive Magistrate Md Shibbir Ahmed led the drive.

The court also fined the owner of the brick kiln Taka two lakh.

The kiln was operating without clearance from the DoE and licences from the district administration.
