THAKURGAON, Feb 9, 2025 (BSS) - Police during different drives have arrested 15 Awami League (AL) leaders and activists as they were accused in different cases based on the recent political situation and sabotage in the district.

Police said they conducted raids on Saturday night at different places under five upazilas of the district and arrested them.
 
The arrestees were identified as Md Shamsul Haque, 50, Shahadat Ali, 47, Md. Mehedi Hasan, 25, Md Abdul Awal, 52, Ritwik Roshan Rabbi, 20, Md. Sagar Ali, 22, Md Taherul Islam, 48, Md. Sadequl Islam, 40, Md. Swadhin Basak, 30, Md. Lutfar Rahman, 40, Md Sajidur Rahman Sajid, 36, Md. Joynul Haque, 43, Md. Shahed Ali, 55, Md. Jinnah Ali, 36, and Md. Mahabub Alam alias Budhu Alam, 45
