Four brick kilns fined Tk 24 lakh in Jamalpur

JAMALPUR, Feb 10, 2025 (BSS) - A mobile court of the Department of 
Environment (DoE) today imposed a fine of Taka 24 lakh to four brick kilns in 
different areas under Sadar upazila of the district for running their 
businesses illegally.

A team of the mobile court led by Senior Assistant Secretary Sultana Saleha 
Sumi conducted a raid at M/S Rupali Bricks in Langalzora area, M/S Star 
Bricks-1 and M/S King Bricks at Jangalpara area and M/S Star Bricks at 
Dakpara area and fined them Taka six lakh each for running their businesses 
without approval of the DoE.
