BGB seizes Indian goods worth Tk 7 lakh from Satkhira border

SATKHIRA, Feb 21, 2025 (BSS) - The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today seized smuggled goods worth around Taka 7 lakh from different frontiers of the Satkhira Sadar and Kalaroa upazilas under the district.

Lieutenant Colonel Md Ashraful Haque, commander of the 33 BGB battalion in Satkhira, confirmed it.

The smuggled items include Indian saree, borkha and medicine. However, no one had been detained during the raid.

All the seized goods were deposited with local customs office.
