PATUAKHALI, Feb 21, 2025 (BSS) - A road accident between a trolley and a battery-run auto rikswha killed two people and injured three others here today. 

The deceased were Tanjila Begum, 30, of Arozbegi village and trolley driver Rakib Hossen, 30, of West Lakhsmipur village.

The injured were Abdullah, 6, and Abu Bakar, 1, sons of Tanjila Begum, and Auto-Rikshwa driver Khalil Hossen, 32.

The accident took place on the Dashmina-Galachipa Highway of West Lakshmipur area of Dashmina Upazila this noon, police and witnesses said.

Tanjila Begum died on the spot while Rakib died on the way to Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital. The injured were admitted to Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital.

The bodies were handed over to the families of the victims, police said.
