Two killed in Gopalganj road crash

GOPALGANJ, Feb 22, 2025 (BSS) – Two people were killed and 10 others
injured when a bus crashed into a roadside tree on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in
Kashiani upazila of the district today.

The deceased were bus driver Montu Sheikh, 55, and supervisor Arif Hossain.

The accident took place around 10 am in front of Hiranyakandi Sampan
Restaurant when a bus of Tungipara Express first hit Khulna-bound Sohag
Paribahan and then hit the roadside tree, leaving 12 people injured, including the
driver and supervisor, said Azizul Haque Rajan, Station Manager of Bhatiapara
Fire Service in Kashiani.

The injured were admitted to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex, where the on-
duty doctor declared bus driver Montu and supervisor Arif dead.
