CHATTOGRAM, Feb 22, 2025 (BSS) - A team of Kotwali Thana police arrested two leaders of banned organization city unit committee of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) with two foreign made pistols from city’s Feringi Bazar area tonight.

Talking to BSS Abdul Karim officer-in-charge of Kotwali thana said based on secret information a police team led by OC conducted a drive at city’s  Firingi Bazar Brijghat area under Kotwali Thana on Saturday evening and arrested city Chhatra League Deputy Finance Secretary Md. Imran Ali Masud, 33, and Mass Education Secretary Md. Mansur Ali,37.

Two foreign pistols and rounds of bullets were recovered from their possession.

Besides, Hathazari Thana police arrested a leader of Chatogram North District Chhatra League from Hathazari upazila sadar today. 

Hathazari Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Kawsar Mahmud Hossain said police arrested Imran Hossain Bappi, 29, joint secretary of banned BCL Chattogram North District Committee on Sunday. Later, he was produced before the court and the court sent him to jail.
