SHERPUR, Feb 23, 2025 (BSS - Two motorcyclists were killed and six others injured following a clash between a microbus and a motorcycle at Austomitola in Sherpur here during early hours today.

The deceased were identified as Rony, 18 and Gourav, 12. Both of them were the employees of Color Digital Lab in Sherpur town.

Police and witnesses said a speedy microbus was heading toward Jamalpur from Sherpur town crushed an auto rickshaw Austomitola of Sherpur city around 1am, leaving bike rider Rony died on the spot.

Later, critically injured motorcyclist Gaurav was sent to Sherpur district hospital where the doctor on duty declared him died.  

Microbus driver and other microbus passengers were managed to flee after the accident. We are trying to arrest those involved in the accident, said Officer In-Charge (OC) of Sherpur Sadar Police Station M Jubaidul Alam.
