JAMALPUR, March 2, 2025 (BSS) - One person was killed and three others were injured when a battery-run auto rickshaw crushed by a bus on Jamalpur-Mymensingh high way at Sharifpur area in Jamalpur Sadar upazila today.

The accident took place around 8.30am when a Jamalpur bound Bus from Mymensingh crushed the auto rickshaw. Identity of the victims could not be confirmed immediately.

Officer-in-Charge of Jamalpur Police Station confirmed the incidence.

Following the accident, local people set fire the bus.

Later, a team of fire service and civil defence rushed to the spot and rescued the injured passengers and doused the blaze. 

The injured were admitted to Jamalpur General Hospital. Two of them were referred to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
