DHAKA, April 21, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan has said the party wants a roadmap for the national elections by December as no registered political party sees any obstacle in holding the polls during the period.

“There is no much difference between the demands of BNP and the government regarding the national elections as the government didn’t deny holding polls by December.

That is why we demand a roadmap for holding polls by December,” he said.

Khan was talking to journalists at BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan political office this afternoon following a meeting of the Liaison Committee with the Labor Party.

Labor Party Chairman Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Iran hoped Chief Adviser Prof Dr. Muhammad Yunus will hold elections by December to meet the people’s aspirations.

The Labor Party suggested BNP for holding a national convention on the issue.

BNP Standing Committee member Selima Rahman was also present.
