Two killed in Jamalpur road crash

JAMALPUR, March 2, 2025 (BSS) - Two people were killed and two others injured in a road accident at Sharifpur in Sadar upazila here this morning.

One of the deceased was Abul Kashem, 40, an auto rickshaw driver. 

The accident took place on the Jamalpur-Mymensingh highway around 8.30 am when a Jamalpur-bound bus hit an auto-rickshaw from opposite direction, leaving four people injured, said Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station Abu Faysal Md Atik.

The injured were sent to Jamalpur General Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared one dead.

Critically injured two persons were shifted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where auto-rickshaw driver Kashem succumbed to his injuries.
