LAKSHMIPUR, March 3, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed in a road accident in Hazirhat area of Sadar upazila here this morning.

The deceased was Monir Hossain, 45, a raw material trader and son of Khorshed Alam, a resident of Ramgati upazila.

The accident took place on the Lakshmipur-Ramgati road around 7 am as a pickup van collided head-on with another pickup van, leaving its passenger Monir dead on the spot, said Officer-in-Charge of Kamalnagar Police Station Md. Touhidul Islam.

Monir Hossain was going to Ramgati in a pickup van after buying goods from Piarapur Market in Sadar upazila. 

Police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar hospital morgue.
