8 burnt in Narayanganj gas explosion

NARAYANGANJ, March 03, 2025 (BSS) - Eight people including women and children 
sustained burn injuries in a gas explosion caused by a leakage at Dhakeshwari-2 in Siddhirganj of 
Narayanganj Sadar upazila today.

The injured people are Hannan, 40, his wife Nurjahan Lucky, 30, their daughters Jannat, 3, and 
Samia, 9, and son Sabbir, 16, Sohagh, 23, his wife Rupali, 20 and their only one and a half year 
old daughter Sumaiya.

The incident occurred this early morning when a gas line leakage led to a sudden explosion, 
engulfing the victims in flames. 

They were immediately rushed to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

Resident Surgeon of the hospital Dr Shaon Bin Rahman said most of the victims have suffered 
major burns. Their condition remained critical.
