LAKSHMIPUR, March 4, 2025 (BSS) - A man was killed and another injured in a road accident on Majuchowdhuryhat-Karatirhat road in Sadar upazila here this morning.

The deceased was Maksudur Rahman, 21, son of Masud Alam, a resident of Samserabad area of the upazila.

The accident occurred around 10.30 am when a speeding tractor hit a motorcycle from opposite direction, leaving its rider Maksudur dead on the spot and injuring its pillion, said Abdul Monnaf, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station.

Critically injured Jobayer Hossain was sent to Sadar Hospital.

A case was filed in this connection.
