DINAJPUR, March 4, 2025 (BSS) - An old man was killed as a covered van hit him in front of Singra union parishad under Ghoraghat upazila of the district today.
 
The deceased was Abdul Baki, 70, a resident of the union.

The accident took place on the Dinajpur-Gobindaganj highway around 12.30 pm when a covered van hit pedestrian Baki, said Nazmul Haque, Officer-in-Charge of Ghoraghat Police Station.

Critically injured Baki was taken to Ghoraghat Upazila Health Complex where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police arrested covered van driver Faruk Mia, 25, and seized the van.
