HABIGANJ, March 4, 2025 (BSS) - At least 30 people were injured in a clash between two rival groups over previous enmity in Lakhai upazila of the district today.
The injured were sent to Lakhai Upazila Health Complex.
The clash erupted around 9.30 am between the people of Milon Mia of Dairul village and Touhid Miah of neighboring Maijhati village of the upazila over previous enmity, said Bande ali Miah, Officer-in-Charge of Lakhai Police Station.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
Tense situation has been prevailing between the two sides after the incident. Police have been deployed the scene to avoid further clash, the OC said.
