RAJBARI, March 5, 2025 (BSS) - An apprentice lawyer of Rajbari District Bar was killed in a road accident at Boalia intersection under Kalukhali upazila here on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased was M Juwel Rana, 35, son of Mohammad Montu Member, hailed from Phultala village under Pangsha upazila of the district.

Police said the accident occurred when a speedy bus hit Juwel's motorcycle in the area, leaving him critically injured on the spot.

He was rushed to Rajbari Sadar Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Due to his death, condolences poured among his colleagues and the lawyers' community of the district.

Filing of a case is now underway in this regard, said Harunur Rashid, officer-in-charge (OC) of Rajbari Highway Police Station.
