NAOGAON, March 22, 2025 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have
arrested six alleged drug peddlers with 119 kilograms of ganja in two
separate drives from Patnitala upazila of the district.

The arrested are Matabbar Hossain, 48, Nitai Chowdhury, 42, Shariful Islam,
34, Apudeb, 29, Ripon Pal, 36, and Anand Pal, 21.

Being informed, a team of the elite force conducted the drives in Mamudpur
Bazar and Najipur area of the upazila around 6.30 pm on Friday and arrested
them with the ganja, a press release of the RAB-5 Joypurhat camp said this
noon.

Two separate cases were filed against the arrested with Patnitala Police
Station under the Narcotics Control Act-2018.
