MANIKGANJ, March 22, 2025 (BSS) - The 'World Water Day 2025' was observed
today in the district under the joint auspices of the district administration
and Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB).

Marking the day, a discussion was held at the conference room of the Deputy
Commissioner.

With Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC, Gen) Atiqul Mamun in the chair, the
meeting was addressed, among others, by Additional Superintendent of Police
(SP), Manikganj Imtiaz Mahbub, Executive Engineer of Water Development Board
Muhammad Aktaruzzaman, Executive Engineer of Power Greed Dewan Mahmud and
Senior Assistant Director of Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation
(BADC) Mohammad Monir Hossain.

The speakers said proper utilization of water is essential for our
development and specially for agriculture production.

Earlier, a colorful rally was brought out in the district town marking the
day.
