BAGERHAT, March 25, 2025 (BSS) - Different food items were distributed among 355 poor families at the premises of Bagerhat Dashani Central Head Office here today.

Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Kamrul Hasan distributed the food items among the poor at a function as the chief guest.

The food items, include rice, pulses, soybeans, chickpeas, sugar, semai, polao rice, dates, and puffed rice, were distributed at the initiative of Seba Manab Kalyan Kendra with the financial support of the donor organisation "Penny Appeal Canada".

Presided over by M Manjur Kadir, president of Seba Manab Kalyan Kendra, it was present, among others, by Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) ASM Mostafizur Rahman and Krishak Dal convener Asafuddaula.

The chief guest said Seba Manab Kalyan Kendra provided the food items as Eid gifts to bring smiles to the faces of the helpless, distressed and poor people of the district.
