DHAKA, Aug 28, 2025 (BSS) - Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 5.9 percent (pc), reaching $2,087 million in the first 27 days of August, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued here today.

Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $1,971 million.

During the July 2025 to August 27, 2025 of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances of $4,565 million, which was only $3,885 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
