JHENAIDAH, March 25, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 226 underprivileged women in the district received sewing machines today as Eid gifts.
 

Jhenaidah district unit BNP President Advocate MA Majid distributed the gifts with his own funds at two different events in an effort to empower the women. 

On Tuesday at 11am, 82 sewing machines were distributed among the women at Priyanath School and College in Harinakundu upazila. 

Earlier, MA Majid distributed sewing machines among 144 women at Fajr Ali School and College ground in the district town yesterday. 

District BNP general secretary Zahiduzzaman Mona, Mohila Dal president Kamrunnahar Liji, Jubo Dal president Ahsan Habib Ronak, general secretary Ashraful Islam Pintu, Harinaku Municipal BNP president Jinnatul Haque Khan, general secretary Anichur Rahman, Harinaku Upazila BNP president Abul Hasan Master and general secretary Taizal Hossain were present, among others.
