DINAJPUR, March 25, 2025 (BSS) - The government today distributed heifer calves among 73 small ethnic group people to improve the socio-economic and living standards of the backward people living in the plain land of Sadr upazila.

District Livestock Officer Dr. Abdur Rahim distributed the cows among them as the chief guest at a function held on the upazila parishad premises with Upazila Livestock Officer Shahina Begum in the chair.

The district Livestock Department and Veterinary Hospital organized the event. 

The cows were distributed among the selected beneficiaries under the Integrated Livestock Development Project to improve the socio-economic and living standards of the small ethnic groups.

Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Borhan Uddin, Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Asaduzzaman Asad, Upazila Fisheries Officer Sharmin Akhter and General Secretary of Adivasi Samaj Unnayan Samity Nathalius Marandi were present at the event.
