RAJSHAHI, April 18, 2025 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) here
last night rescued a madrasa teacher who was kidnapped from Dhaka early this
month.

The RAB members also arrested four persons in connection with the kidnapping
case. They are identified as Rabiul Islam, 27, Rubel Chowdhury, 27, Nazmul
Hossain, 42, and Nahid Miaz, 35.

On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a sudden raid and rescued
the kidnapped teacher Rifatul Islam, 25 from the premises of Rajshahi Medical
College Hospital at midnight.

RAB sources said Rifatul remained missing from the way of his workplace at
Hazaribag from Ashulia on April 5 last. Subsequently, the kidnappers'
demanded ransom of Taka one lakh through bKash from his family members
repeatedly.

Through using the information and technologies the RAB members rescued him.
