Manikganj, April 19, 2025 (BSS) - A large protest procession, organized by the Shibabalaya Upazila Imam Kalyan Samiti and the Touhidi Janata was held today at Shibabalaya in the district, condemning the ongoing aggression and genocide in Gaza. 

The procession began from the Uthuli Food Godown and paraded through the Dhaka-Aricha Highway and nearby roads, with participants chanting slogans denouncing the killing of innocent civilians, including women and children in Gaza.

Following the procession, a discussion programme was held at the Tepra Upazila yard. 

The event was presided over by Hafej Md. Shahidulla, president of the Shibabalaya Upazila Imam Kalyan Samiti. 

Among the speakers were Mufti Ilias Bin Nasir, president of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish, Shibabalaya Upazila unit and Kazi Jamal Uddin, a leader of Hefazat-e-Islam, Shibabalaya Upazila.

The speakers strongly condemned the Israel's brutal actions in Gaza and urged the global Muslim Ummah to stand united and speak out against these injustices 

Earlier, a similar protest procession was also held in Hatipara Union today, organized by the Touhidi Janata, protesting the killing of thousands of Muslims including women and childrenin Gaza.
