JHENAIDAH, May 5, 2025 (BSS) - A motorcyclist was killed when a truck collided head-on with his bike in the Shahpur-Ghighati area under Kaliganj upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased was Jahangir Hossain, 55, son of Abdul Jalil, a resident of Natima village in Maheshpur upazila of the district.

The accident occurred around 10:30am on the Kaliganj-Kotchandpur road when a truck hit a motorcycle from opposite direction, leaving its rider Jahangir died on the spot, said Shahidul Islam Howlader, Officer-in-Charge of Kaliganj Police Station.
