THAKURGAON, May 5, 2025 (BSS)- A discussion titled "Usage, Development and 
Expansion of Renewable Energy" was held in the conference room of Deputy 
Commissioner (DC) here today.

Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL) organised the discussion. 

DC Israt Farzana was present as the chief guest in the event with Executive 
Director of IDCOL Alamgir Morshed in the chair.
 
Speakers emphasized the importance of adopting and implementing accurate and 
sustainable plans to increase the use of renewable energy and reduce its 
emissions.

Alamgir Morshed highlighted various sources of renewable energy including 
geothermal energy, solar power, wind power, hydropower, ocean waves, ocean 
thermal energy, tides, biogas and biofuel.
