DINAJPUR, May 6, 2025 (BSS) - An unidentified woman was killed and 15 others, including seven admission seekers of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU), were injured in a road accident in the Satmile area near the university last night.

One of the admission seekers was admitted to the ICU of Dinajpur Medical College Hospital in critical condition.

The accident took place around 10pm on the Dinajpur-Dashmile road, when a bus collided head-on with a truck, leaving 16 bus passengers injured, said Md. Khademul Islam, Director of HSTU's Public Relations Department. 

The injured were taken to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital, where the woman succumbed to her injuries.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Rezaul Islam of Dashmile Highway Police Station confirmed the incident.
