Youth killed in Tangail road crash

TANGAIL, May 6, 2025 (BSS) - A youth was killed and two others were injured 
as their motorbike fell on the road in Kalihati upazila of the district 
today.

The deceased was Md. Rabbi, 18, son of Sarwar Hossain, a resident of Rampur 
area of the upazila.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kalihati Police Station Abul Kalam Bhuiyan said the 
accident occurred around 11 am in Kazibari graveyard area when the motorcycle 
fell on the road as its rider lost control over the vehicle due to high 
speed, leaving the rider and co riders injured on the spot, said Abul Kalam 
Bhuiyan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kalihati Police Station.

The critically wounded were rushed to Tangail General Hospital where Rabbi 
succumbed to his injuries, the OC said, adding: "Of the injured, two were 
shifted to Dhaka for better treatment."
