NATORE, May 6, 2025 (BSS) - A mobile court fined a factory Tk 50,000 today for producing unauthorized detergent products in Bagatipara upazila of the district.

Bagatipara Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ha-Mim Tabassum Prabha, with assistance from the district administration and representatives of the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI), conducted the drive and fined the factory, Sheikh Chemical Company, for producing and marketing unauthorized dishwashing liquid, toilet soap, and toilet cleaner in fake packaging.

Field Officer of the BSTI Rajshahi Divisional Office Md. Delwar Hossain said, "The penalty was imposed in accordance with the BSTI Act-2018."
