KHULNA, May 07, 2025 (BSS) - A joint forces team in a drive last night arrested three individuals from Batiaghata upazila in the district. The arrested are allegedly close associates of Babu, alias Grenade Babu. 

They arrestees were Kala Tuhin, Ahsan and Habib.

Major Debashish, who led the drive, said the joint forces team conducted drives around 10pm yesterday in the Chakrakhali Bazar area in Batiaghata upazila after receiving information that the suspects assembled at a solitary area to commit crimes. 

The team arrested the trio from the spot, while others managed to flee upon sensing the presence of the law enforcement agencies. 

The team recovered one revolver, one gun, 17 bottles of foreign liquors, one and a half kg of gun powder, a large number of sharp weapons, two motorcycles and 10 mobile phones from their possession. 
 
Several cases were filed against the arrestees, said Major Debashish, adding that they, along with seized items, were handed over to Batiaghata Police Station.
